Tips for Creating a Smarter Workforce

tips for creating a smarter workforceThe beginning of the new year is always a great time to set new business goals. One goal you should take into consideration is regarding your employees. For 2015, you should look into creating a smarter workforce. To create a smarter workforce, take these tips into consideration:

1. Remember the importance of analytics.

Analyzing data is helpful for measuring your products’ success, but it is also immensely helpful when you want to determine which reps are the most productive, open new accounts, etc. With resources like a KPI Template, you can see which reps are your top performers. If you determine which characteristics of these reps make them so successful, you can use that data to improve the rest of your team and incorporate it into hiring practices.

2. Recognize their efforts.

Reps want recognition for their hard work. By telling them that you appreciate them and by rewarding the top performers, you create a culture of genial competitiveness - the reps that are top performers will want to continue being successful and reps that may not yet be at that level will work to gain more rewards and recognition.

3. Give them opportunities.

If you want to truly optimize your reps, you should provide them with opportunities to learn. This can be done by giving workshops or other events. In addition, this is ideal for field teams and remote workers because it gives reps a chance to interact, which is rare for dispersed teams. This form of team bonding increases productivity and employee retention as well. Provide your reps with steady feedback to help progress and provide them with learning opportunities, and you will find that they will make great improvements.

By following these tips, you’ll find yourself on the way to creating a more productive, more successful workforce.
