Last May, the FDA announced updates to its Nutrition and Supplement Facts Panel requirements, meaning food and beverage companies will have to redesign their labels to stay compliant. Changes range from making "servings per container" more prominent to adding a section for "added sugars."
The new regulations go into effect in July 2018 for manufacturers with more than $10 million in annual sales - companies with under $10 million get an extra year to get into compliance. While that may seem far off, completely overhauling your labels is a big project, and you can never start too soon.
